# Conductors from solid gold 18k or gold-plated solid copper # Low noise

 

Gold has a higher resistivity than either copper or silver, but it does not oxidize.

Electrical resistivity ρ is defined as ρ=E/J where:

ρ is the static resistivity measured in ohm-meters or Ω-m.

E is the magnitude of the electric field measured in volts per meter or V/m.

J is the magnitude of the current density measured in amperes per square meter or A/m².

E and J are both inside the conductor.

Resistance is an important specification of speaker wires and depends on wire gauge.

Capacitance occurs between any two conductors separated by an insulator.

Audio signals are alternating current and so are attenuated by such capacitances.

Attenuation occurs in direct proportion to frequency so a higher frequency can more easily leak through a given capacitance.

The amount of attenuation can be calculated for any given frequency.

The result is called the capacitive reactance, which is an effective resistance measured in ohms and is defined as Xc=1/2.π.f.c

All conductors have inductance which is their inherent resistance to changes in current.

That resistance is called inductive reactance measured in ohms.

Inductive reactance depends on how quickly the current is changing.

Quick changes in current i.e. high frequencies encounter a higher inductive reactance than do slow changes i.e. low frequencies.

Inductive reactance is calculated using formula Xi=2.π.f.L

In line-level interconnects conductivity is not the main factor that determines the sound quality.

Purity, internal grain structure and thickness of the wires effect the sound of a cable much more than conductivity.

Our conductor geometry was very carefully chosen to minimize the transient dulling and time smearing effects of skin effect and internal inductance.

Great lengths were taken to design a means of encasing the conductor in a flexible tubing system, yet avoiding the smearing and coloration of solid dielectrics.

The result is an accurate conveyor of  electromagnetic waveforms.

The SG cables utilize solid gold 18k conductors.

The GP cables utilize gold plated copper conductors.

Each conductor, positive and negative, is separately encased in a Teflon tube system which maintains the primarily air dielectric configuration.

Liberated from the constraints of mass production, our handcrafted constructed designs shun needless complication.

In our ESL cables, we use a low capacitance and medium impedance construction as this will damp the L/C resonance and reduce its magnitude.

Στα καλώδια διασύνδεσης γραμμής η αγωγιμότητα καθαυτή δεν είναι ο κύριος παράγοντας που καθορίζει την ποιότητα του ήχου.

Η καθαρότητα, η εσωτερική δομή του κόκκου και το πάχος των συρμάτων επιδρούν στον ήχο πολύ περισσότερο από ότι η αγωγιμότητα.

Η γεωμετρία των αγωγών επιλέχθηκε πολύ προσεκτικά, έτσι ώστε να ελαχιστοποιηθεί το θόλωμα των μεταβατικών, καθώς και των χρονικά αλλοιωτικών φαινομένων του επιδερμικού φαινομένου και της εσωτερικής αυτεπαγωγής.

Καταβλήθηκε μεγάλη προσπάθεια για τη σχεδίαση ενός τρόπου ενσωμάτωσης του αγωγού σε ένα ευλύγιστο περίβλημα, αποφεύγοντας το θόλωμα και το χρωματισμό των συμπαγών διηλεκτρικών.

Το αποτέλεσμα είναι ένας ακριβής μεταφορέας ηλεκτρομαγνητικών κυματομορφών.

Στα SG καλώδια χρησιμοποιούνται αγωγοί από χρυσό 18k.

Στα GP καλώδια χρησιμοποιούνται αγωγοί από επίχρυσο χαλκό.

Κάθε αγωγός, θετικός και αρνητικός, ενσωματώνεται ξεχωριστά σε ένα σύστημα περιβλήματος Teflon, το οποίο διατηρεί την βασική μορφή του διηλεκτρικού αέρα.

Απελευθερωμένες από τους περιορισμούς της μαζικής παραγωγής, οι χειροποίητες σχεδιάσεις μας απορίπτουν την περιττή πολυπλοκότητα.
